Hydro-Wates Load Testing Equipment & Services
The photographs in this collection are a small sample of the variety of structures and machines that can be safely proof-load tested using Hydro-Wates equipment and personnel.
- Pedestal Crane Testing
Shipboard crane on container ship being load tested following repairs.

Following weld repairs to a drilling rig’s derrick, Hydro-Wates performed a proof load test prior to resuming drilling operations. The test force was applied using the rig’s drawworks, with compression force on the derrick being measured by Hydro-Wates load indicators.

Following manufacture, this custom lift frame was proof load tested to verify weld and structural integrity. Hydro-Wates recommended special test frames to ensure in-service loading was simulated.
